We have so much to give thanks for. So many people over the years have said “yes”, or “I don’t know but have you tried…” and supported our ambition that Jen born with Down’s syndrome, and others like her to be treated like any other human being – having the right support and opportunities to pursue their dreams and follow their passions.

Together we have constantly sought creative solutions to enable Jen to follow her dreams and “live the life of my choosing”.

The last eighteen months have been even more extraordinary than we’ve previously experienced. Awards, honours, invitiations and unusual events have all fallen in front of Jen and DanceSyndrome we’ve often had to pinch ourselves to check if it’s true!

We’ve always known that with the right support each of us can flourish and thrive. We’re delighted and excited to share some of the highlights from Jen’s British Empire Medal awarded in June 2023, through to our most recent international awards, where Jen and Sue both picked up Silver Stevie Awards in November 2024.

Our lives are enhanced by the unique perspective that those with learning disability teach us. We are looking forward to sharing and showing more people the art of the possible as we continue our crusade for social change.
